Guru Nanak’s 553rd anniversary celebrations begin

The pilgrims will leave for Gurdwara Dera Sahib Lahore on November 11 after performing the religious rituals

The 553rd birth anniversary celebrations of Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji began at Gurdwara Sri Panja Sahib Hassanabdal on Wednesday.

Sikh pilgrims (Yatrees) from all over the world, including India, have started arriving at Gurdwara Sri Panja Sahib Hasanabdal to attend the three-day celebrations.

According to sources, around 2,409 pilgrims from India are expected to participate in the event who will reach Hassanabdal via three special trains. In this regard, preparations have been completed to welcome them.

The pilgrims will be received by senior officials who would further guide them regarding their trip. They will be taken to Gurdwara Sri Panja Sahib by special buses under strict security. During their three-day stay, religious rituals will be performed along with attendance at religious places.

The pilgrims will leave for Gurdwara Dera Sahib Lahore on November 11 after performing the religious rituals in the celebrations.
