Setting up of Junagadh secretariat in Capital sought

Adherence to international laws is the guarantee of world peace

Nawab of Junagadh state, Jahangir Khanji has demand of the government of Pakistan to establish Junagadh Secretariat in Islamabad.

He said, besides creating awareness about Junagadh issue among Pakistanis, he will raise the issue at global level as well. Addressing a press conference at Junagadh House in connection with the day of the fall of Junagadh, he said that the era of power rule is over. No one, having the power, can suppress others. Adherence to international laws is the guarantee of world peace.

He said that the occupation of Junagadh is illegal and unconstitutional. We have been struggling for the freedom of Junagadh for the last 75 years and our struggle will continue till success. He said that we are grateful to the state of Pakistan for including Junagadh in the map of Pakistan. Foreign ambassadors were also informed about the Junagadh issue.

Speaking on the occasion, Prime Minister (Dewan) Junagadh, Sahibzada Sultan Ahmed Ali said that the Junagadh case has been pending in the United Nations for the last 75 years. He appealed to all Islamic countries and domestic political parties to support the Nawab and people of Junagadh in this great struggle.

Prime Minister (Dewan) Junagadh said that we want to solve the problem in a peaceful manner keeping in mind the international laws. Nawab Sahib said that we have immense sacrifices for Pakistan. Not loess than two million people of Junagadh are living in Pakistan.

Nawab Junagadh hoped that the government of Pakistan will continue to help them in the future as well. Sahibzada Sultan said that the problem of Kashmir and Junagadh is also affected due to the political crisis in Pakistan.

Crown Prince Nawabzada Ali Murtaza Khanji along with Junagadh community, political and social personalities of the country, journalists, doctors, engineers and other dignitaries of the city were also present on this occasion.
