PESHAWAR:

The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Wednesday sought a list of recent recruitments to the posts of sub-engineer in the Water and Soil Conservation Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) within three days.

A two-member bench comprising Justice Ejaz Anwar and Justice Shakeel Ahmed heard the writ petition of Ashfaq Ahmed.

His counsel Advocate Mian Sulaiman Shah told the court that the petitioner was serving on the post of sub-engineer on contract in the Water and Soil Conservation Department.

The department had advertised about 42 permanent posts of sub-engineer for which he also applied and topped the merit list, but he was not given the qualification and experience marks due to which he lost the post.

He said that due to the court case, his salary has also been stopped since July.

He added that despite the court order, the list of recruits is not being presented in the court.

On this, the court issued orders to the DG of the concerned department to collect the list of recruits in three days and adjourned the case hearing till November 22.
