KARACHI:

Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) staged a protest at the Five Star intersection of North Nazimabad on Sunday against the botched assassination bid on Imran Khan.

PTI leader and former governor Imran Ismail said the Haqiqi Azadi March will be successful definitely. He called for immediate election in the country to get rid of the current government which has stooped to unethical and morally corrupt tools to intimidate political rivals.

PTI Parliamentary Leader in Sindh Assembly Khurram Sher Zaman said that attempts are being made to give religious colour to the murderous attack on Imran Khan.

"Some elements want a confrontation between PTI and the institutions, let this be clear that PTI believes in a strong army in the country," he said.

"Our political rivals know that they cannot defeat Imran Khan in the election, therefore they are using propaganda to misguide the people," he said.

Sindh Assembly Opposition Leader Haleem Adil Sheikh said PTI leaders will not hesitate to sacrifice their lives for Imran Khan's vision. He deplored that if a past premier and national political leader was finding it difficult to lodge an FIR, what about the rest of the citizens.

A man was killed and 10 were injured in a firing incident, yet there is no registration of FIR, Haleem said adding that the behaviour of Punjab police chief was deplorable. There are many things going on behind the scene, that's why FIR is not register yet.

He said that FIR will register and responsible who want to kill Imran Khan will be face action.

Former PTI MNA Aftab Jahangir said that our elders did not sacrificed their lives and honour in 1947 for slavery of few ruling families. If the ruling aristocracy has to run the country, there should be pictures of Bhuttos and Sharifs on currency instead Quaid-e-Azam.

Children of people who stand with Imran Khan today, will feel proud on their elders tomorrow, he said.

PTI leader Faheem Khan said that FIR should be register against those who mentioned doubtful by Imran Khan. We don't want war but there will be war if needed
