Terrible VFX, poor copy: Fans aren't impressed by Pathaan's teaser

Fans are boycotting the new action movie due to its similar visuals to "War" and "Don 3"

On November 2, the Pathaan trailer was released as part of the King of Bollywood’s 57th birthday celebrations. Within hours, the clip created a stir on social media. Although many fans applauded superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s comeback after a four-year-long hiatus, some compared the visuals in the trailer to action films such as War and Don 3. Others attacked the film by calling it an upcoming "flop."

Venting on Twitter, a user deemed watching the trailer a "mistake." They further showed their regret by dubbing it as a "flop." The post read, "Watched the Pathaan trailer which was my mistake. I wasted two minutes," followed by a hashtag that read, "flop."

While proudly confessing to be a Shah Rukh Khan fan, a user admitted that the trailer was quite "imperfect." They also used a crying emoji to express their disappointment at the Bollywood star's comeback. "I'm a huge SRK fan but the Pathaan trailer looks poor,” read the tweet.

Another mocked the dressing of the movie's characters, comparing them to the outfits of the Avengers. The user wrote, "If anyone has watched Pathaan's trailer, you would clearly see flop written all over it. Why are they dressed up in Avengers outfits?"

A bevy of disappointed users compared the trailer to movies including War, Dhoom and Don 3, terming Pathaan as a remake or copy. One critic said, "I don't know but this Pathaan teaser looks like Hrithik Roshan's War trailer." While another jokingly wrote, "It's not a Pathaan trailer. It's a Don 3 trailer."

Sharing the trailer, another user remarked, "Looks like a Dhoom remake. The trailer didn't excite me at all.

In contrast, one user also dismissed the ongoing objection to the trailer by urging fans to stop boycotting the trailer. Firstly, they termed the protest as a "nuisance." Then, they proceeded to question why people are comparing Pathaan to other movies from just a small teaser. They said, "Why boycott Pathaan? Just because of some foreign reactors who said that that the same scene is used? You are all started acting childish!"

In another tweet, the user further showed support for the movie. "I agree with the fact that scenes could seem somewhat same as other movies but to show real action scenes is limited. Pathaan movie is not a Rohit Shetty's movie or fantasy movie where you will get to see absurd scenes!"
