Policeman shot dead in Pishin district
In yet another incident of terrorism, unidentified miscreants opened fire and killed a police head constable in Balochistan’s Pishin district on Tuesday afternoon.
Deputy Commissioner Pishin Dr Yasir Khan Bazai told The Express Tribune that the accused opened fire at the policeman in the Killi Tarata area of Pishin, killing him on the spot.
The victim was identified as Zainullah who was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The attackers, who were riding a bike, made good their escape after committing the crime. A large contingent of police reached the area and started a door to door search operation soon after the attack but there was no sign of the miscreants.
This attack happened three days after the targeting of levies man in Chaman and a police constable in Pishin during anti-polio vaccination duty. Balochistan Home Minister Mir Ziaullan Langu strongly condemned the targeted attack and directed the deputy commissioner to submit a report in this regard.
In a statement issued after the incident, Langu said the terrorists involved in the attack would be brought to justice. He said the perpetrators of the attack would not be spared.
