Woman killed in ‘accidental gunfire

A woman died in alleged accidental fire inside her house located in Korangi. Police arrested the deceased woman's husband who is a police officer. The husband told police that bullet was fired accidentally. However, the woman's father registered a murder case against him.

On information, the police reached the spot and shifted the body of 24-yearold Saba to Jinnah Hospital for postmortem. SHO Korangi Amir Azam said that the police have arrested the victim's husband, identified as Madani Raza, on the statement of the deceased's father and recovered 30 bore pistol from him.

The accused in his initial statement said that the bullet was fired unintentionally. The SHO said that the accused Madani Raza is posted in the SSP Keamari office. The couple had rented the house in the area of Korangi a month ago. The accused married Saba two years back.
