Women shouldn't settle for anything less: Mehar Bano shares happily ever after with Shahrukh Kazim

Actor Mehar Bano, known for her roles in the star-studded web series Churails and Qaatil Haseenaon Ke Naam, has been living a fairytale all along and has now reached a happily ever after with her fiancé and “soulmate” Shahrukh Kazim Ali.

While we saw glimpses of her wedding looks by makeup artists and viral pictures, the 27-year-old officially announced her wedding and told everyone how she found a partner in a friend.

On Sunday, Mehar Bano took to Instagram with dreamy pictures from her Mehendi posing with her now husband. “I had been friends with my soulmate for years without knowing that he was the one,” she captioned the post.

“Shahrukh had my back way before I could even decipher what it meant to take care of someone. As a friend, he was thoughtful, caring, generous, and kind, his presence akin to a safe space. As a partner, he exceeds all expectations. He cooks breakfast and dinner, gives me foot rubs, brings me snacks during shark week and makes a wonky face to cheer me up when I’m mad about something,” she said about what made her fall in love with Shahrukh.

However, the Daagh actor added that these characteristics are only a small part of what makes marriages work and the duo understands the two-way communication and effort it will need, but it is the little things that will keep the relationship alive.

Concluding, she gave a piece of public service advice to all her women followers. Sharing her story, she hoped for people to realise that this kind of love is possible and hence, they shouldn’t settle for anything less. “This is just the tip of the iceberg though. I understand that marriage is a lifelong commitment that comes with its big old trials and tribulations. But it’s the little things that make you feel like you did right by yourself by choosing a partner you know you deserve; one who has endless affection for you and isn’t afraid to show it. Therefore, ladies, this is a PSA; do not settle.”

Fellow actors and industry colleagues were also moved by her incredibly romantic and sweet journey. Actors Adnan Malik, Sarwat Gilani, Ainy Jaffri, Azfar Rehman, Ayeza Khan and singer Aima Baig sent her their love and called her “lucky” and “blessed” to have found true love.

Earlier this year in February, the friends-to-soulmates duo got engaged in an intimate daytime ceremony. The event was a star-studded affair with the likes of actor Ahmed Ali Akbar, Osman Khalid Butt, and singer Hasan Raheem among others in attendance. Shahrukh’s social media reveals that the producer has been friends with Osman and Ahmed for as long as 2016 now.
