Victim had asked attackers not to loiter in street

A 60-year-old man was allegedly tortured to death by two suspects on Sunday, who were reportedly annoyed over him stopping them from loitering in the street in Chung.

The victim, identified as Muhammad Ashraf, had stopped Haroon and Ahsan from loitering
in the street in front of their house.

They allegedly started torturing the victim after a heated exchange. The victim received such severe injuries that he died on the spot.

Police moved the body to a morgue for an autopsy and were investigating the matter further.

Meanwhile, a 60-year-old man reportedly committed suicide by jumping in front of a train in Shahdara.

The incident was reported near Barkat Town, where the unidentified victim jumped in the path of a speeding train and was killed instantly, according to eyewitnesses.

Police removed the body from the scene and were investigating the matter further.
