Pakistan’s Mr Bean, Muhammad Arif, became one of the major reasons for the hype behind Pakistan and Zimbabwe’s WorldCup match, and it turns out, he has more to say. Arif, who's famously known for his resemblance to British actor Rowan Atkinson, the international star known for his famous portrayal of Mr Bean, was highlighted for his 'fraudulent' behaviour with Zimbabweans in 2016.
A social media user, on Friday, posted a video of Arif, in his Mr Bean avatar, sending his love to “all the lovely people” of Zimbabwe. While it isn't an apology, it sees Pak Mr Bean introducing himself and giving credit to Zimbabwe for their win.
Here’s the official statement from Pakistans Mr Bean😂

“Hello lovely [people], this is Pak Mr Bean. I love Zimbabwe, I love the people of Zimbabwe. The match between Pakistan and Zimbabwe was a tough one,” he said. The clip ends with Arif looking at Teddy to hear what he has to say before he bids goodbye, in typical OG Mr Bean fashion.
The video has social media in fits.

The hype around Arif began when a Zimbabwe fan was looking to "settle scores" before the Pak-Zimbabwe match. Upon inquiring what problem there is, the user explained how Arif attended a comedy event in their country, and people thought he is the real Mr Bean.
It grew even more problematic when he was accused of fraudulent behaviour. "Stealing people's money!" a user added. Arif was invited to an event in Zimbabwe in 2016, where he attended a comedy night at the Harare International Conference Centre. In another tweet, we see Arif being given a hero's welcome, with many locals trying to click a picture with him.
