Anjum aqeel case: ATC clears 34 men
Court directs the investigators to submit a complete investigation report by August 30.
RAWALPINDI:
An anti-terrorism court on Wednesday dropped charges against 34 people of forcibly taking away Pakistan Muslim League-N MNA Anjum Aqeel from police custody.
Special Judge ATC-I Malik Muhammad Akram Awan discharged the accused after the investigation team submitted a report stating no evidence had been found against the men. The court however directed the investigators to submit a complete investigation report by August 30.
Aqeel faces charges of escaping from police custody on July 15 with the help of his supporters.
