Protesting teachers detained for entering red zone
Candidates who passed the test for the posts of junior elementary, primary school and high school teachers have been protesting outside the Karachi Press Club (KPC) for two months for not being provided the job letters.
Protestors tried to enter the red zone after removing the barriers. The police arrested the protestors.
According to details, teachers who have passed the IBA test continuously protested outside KPC for appointment letters.
The protesters tried to march towards the Chief Minister’s House. However, the police tried to stop them by placing barricades.
However, the protestors broke the barricades and entered the area on which the police detained several protestors.
Candidates said that the authorities had issued offer letters to their favourites only.
Protesters said, “A uniform policy should be made for NTS and IBA, and offer letters should be issued to us.”
The candidates announced to continue their protest until the offer letters are issued.
