Strict security measures ordered during Diwali
The Inspector General of Sindh Police has directed strict security measures at all the temples during the Diwali festival across the province.
Following the IGP order, the Karachi Police chief has issued directives to the police officers to ensure all possible security measures during the Diwali festival being observed by the Hindu community in the city.
According to the spokesperson of Sindh Police, IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon, while congratulating the Hindu community on the festival of Diwali, has directed that the police at the provincial level should make the security of all the temples coordinated and effective.
On the occasion of Diwali, consultation with dignitaries of the Hindu community regarding security at Lakshmi Puja and other religious ritual sites should be prioritised.
Close monitoring around temples and other specific places and timely action should be ensured.
Karachi Police Chief, Javed Alam Odhu also congratulated all the Hindu community including the Hindu employees of Karachi Police on the occasion of Diwali and expressed good wishes.
