Four die in traffic accidents

Four persons, including a woman, died in traffic accidents, while two people, including a policeman, were injured.

A person died in a traffic accident near Korangi Murtaza Chowrangi Darbar Kanta, whose body was taken to Jinnah Hospital by Chheepa volunteers.

Rescue officials say that the deceased has been identified as 28-year-old Mahmood, riding a motorcycle and is said to be a resident of Landhi. The driver responsible for the accident escaped from the spot. Police are investigating further.

Fifty-three-year-old Nasir died in a traffic accident on Sohrab Goth Super Highway. The accident is said to have occurred due to the hit of an unknown speeding vehicle. Rescue officials say that the deceased was a passerby. The deceased's body was brought to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital by Edhi Ambulance.

A woman on a motorcycle was killed while her husband was injured in a traffic accident near Papushnagar graveyard. Edhi's volunteers took the body of the deceased to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. Rescue officials say that the deceased has been identified as 25-year-old Mona while her husband Bilawal is being given medical aid.

Officials said the accident was due to a shovel machine's impact, but the police are investigating further.

Fifty-five-year-old policeman Javed Iqbal, posted at the airport police station, was injured in a traffic accident near Airport Shara e Faisal Star Gate. He was rushed to Jinnah Hospital for immediate medical attention.

Meanwhile, a labourer died after falling from a height while working on an under-construction building near Defense Phase 8 Do Darya Creek Club. His body was taken to Jinnah Hospital by Edhi's volunteers. Rescue officials say that the deceased has been identified as 22-year-old Imtiaz, who fell from the 28th floor of the building. Police are getting more information in this regard.
