Ulema’s delegation calls on CCPO

The delegation congratulated the CCPO over the peaceful conduct of religious events

LAHORE:

A delegation of the Shia Ulema Council, led by its president, Qasim Ali Qasmi, called on the Capital City Police Officer of Lahore, Ghulam Mehmood Dogar, at the Capital City Police Headquarters on Wednesday.

The delegation congratulated the CCPO over the peaceful conduct of religious events. The delegation presented the Capital City Police Officer with an award in recognition of his services for the protection of life and property of the people and for ensuring peace and order in the provincial capital.

The delegation also awarded DSP Rehan Jamal with a shield for his valuable performance during the conduct of religious events. CCPO Ghulam Mehmood Dogar told the delegation that scholars from all the schools of thought had a key role in making the city of Lahore a cradle of peace.

He said that Lahore Police appreciated the efforts of the Ulema and community leaders of all walks of life, members of peace committees, traders and local leadership in maintaining the law and order situation.
