Nawaz inquires after Zardari’s health

The two leaders also discussed the political and economic situation including the by-polls, say sources

LAHORE:

PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif on Saturday telephoned PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zaradri to inquire after his health.

Last week, Zardari returned to his Bilawal House residence after doctors discharged him from hospital, where he had to spend a week for treatment of chest infection.

His personal physician and close aide Dr Asim Hussain announced in a tweet: “President Asif Zardari has recuperated from his illness and been discharged from Hospital to go home.”

The two leaders also discussed the political and economic situation in the country including the by-polls. PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s long march also came under discussion.

Zardari felicitated Nawaz on the acquittal of his daughter Maryam, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shehbaz in court cases.

The PML-N supremo expressed gratitude to the PPP leader for the gesture.
