KARACHI:

The prime suspect of firing at a dental clinic in Saddar was arrested on Friday. According to the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), the accused belonged to the banned Sindh Revolutionary Army (SRA).

Provincial Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, while addressing a press conference in his office along with CTD DIG Asif Ijaz Sheikh, said that the suspect was traced with the help of over 100 CCTV cameras installed at various locations in Saddar.

After the incident, Sindh chief minister gave the task to IG Sindh to arrest the killers. CTD and agencies took joint action and arrested the accused.

CTD DIG Sheikh said that weapons and a motorcycle were recovered from the suspect Ahmad Waqar Kushk.

Sharjeel further said that the accused belongs to banned separatist group SRA and vowed that the operatives of such banned organisations will meet their end.

He said that terrorists are playing in the hands of others, Sharjeel said adding that police and agencies will bring enemies of peace to justice. In one of the footages, the accused is also seen removing his mask. Another CCTV footage shows accused escaping on a motorcycle with his partner.
