Difficult to keep it a secret: Sidharth Malhotra on rumoured wedding with Kiara Advani

Shershaah costars Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra have been rumoured to be dating since their sizzling onscreen chemistry made headlines. The pair has been the talk of the town, with Indian media reporting that Kiara and Sidharth are soon to tie the knot. 

Now, the Marjaavaan star is finally addressing the gossip. When asked if the rumours bother him, Sidharth told India Today, "No, it doesn't bother me. After 10 years, I don't think there is anything to be bothered about." He then added, "If I was getting married, I think it would be very difficult to keep it a secret today. We have realised that somewhere or another will come out."

Sidharth, however, draws a line when it comes to his personal space. The actor shared that he doesn't like being clicked without being informed. "The only thing that sometimes bothers me is when cameras and lenses are popping out of bushes or when you are taking a walk, that is something I feel is uncalled for, you are trying to look for a weak moment of somebody in an odd position or with somebody. I find that intrusive."

He continued, "You could call my name and ask me to pose. That's okay, but I don't get the intention of turning spy. The rest of the attention from fans and media is something that, over the years, you are used to." About him being a private person, he mentioned, "There is no secret. I am private by nature, but it is not with the intention of being secretive about my personal life. Not that I am ashamed of it but jab hoga tab hoga."

On the eighth episode of the latest season of Koffee with Karan, rumours of the couple’s alleged romance reignited. When the ace filmmaker asks Kiara who her closest friend is, the Jugjugg Jeeyo actor immediately said her Kabir Singh costar, Shahid Kapoor. However, the Guilty actor’s safe response prompts the host to dig deeper into her alleged romance with Sidharth and whether she’s denying their relationship to the public. Taking the question in stride, the actor lightly responds, “I’m not denying or accepting. We are definitely ‘close friends.’ More than close friends.”

On the work front, Sidharth Malhotra will be next seen in Rohit Shetty’s upcoming project, Indian Police Force. Meanwhile, Kiara is basking in the success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Raj Mehta’s directorial JugJugg Jeeyo with Varun Dhawan, Neetu Kapoor and Anil Kapoor.
