Dar assures IMF of govt’s pledge

ISLAMABAD:

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar assured the International Monetary Fund (IMF) of the Pakistan government’s commitment to the implementation of the fund’s programme, the Finance Ministry said on Thursday.

The ministry said in a tweet that Dar held “a productive meeting” IMF Deputy Managing Director Antoinette Sayeh and thanked the IMF for “an excellent support provided to Pakistan for macroeconomic stabilisation”.

The finance minister also held a meeting with Counsellor to US Secretary Treasury David Lipton in Washington. Pakistan’s Ambassador to US Masood Khan was also present on the occasion.
