KARACHI:

Judicial Magistrate South temporarily accepted the A-class report of the police and ordered the release of the six suspects in the case of the young man who died after falling from a high-rise residential building in Defence.

The case was heard in the court of Judicial Magistrate South in Karachi City Court.

During the hearing, the police declared before the court that all suspects in the case are innocent while a detailed report was submitted to the court by the police.

The police report mentioned that no proof was found convincing that deceased Adil was pushed from the 17th floor.

Additionally, the building's CCTV cameras also did not uncover any evidence. The report said that there was no evidence that the six arrested suspects and the deceased had a personal dispute, argument, or brawl on the night of incident.

The only offense for which the arrested suspects have been found responsible is that they escaped house unannounced when the incident took place.

It was concluded that the prosecution's case was of A-class as the deceased was not pushed from the 17th floor, while the accused should be released under Section 497B of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).

The court approved the provisional police report and ordered the release of the arrested accused. The accused were also ordered to deposit a bond of Rs50,000.

The court remarked that the A-class police report is accepted provisionally since it cannot be considered conclusive.

On September 15, the court had dismissed the police report and ordered to reinvestigate the case. According to the police, the deceased's sister filed a complaint about the incident at the Sahil police station.
