The month of October is dedicated to raising awareness about BREAST CANCER, a disease that affects millions around the world. Statistics from Pink Ribbon Pakistan indicate that 109 Pakistani women die of breast cancer every 24 hours. An annual death toll of over 40,000 coupled with new cases of breast cancer of over 90,000 is a grave concern.
Recognising this alarming situation, in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness month, renowned health-tech startup MEDZnMORE recently held an internal event in conjunction with Pink Ribbon Pakistan to educate its female employees about breast cancer.
The event was hosted by MEDZnMORE in their Karachi office, where Pink Ribbon's representative presented information on Breast Cancer awareness, its symptoms, its causes and how to examine oneself. The event aimed to highlight the importance of screening and early detection.
Pink Ribbon Pakistan is a non-funded, self-sustained and the only organisation in the country which is devotedly working on the issue of breast cancer with nationwide outreach since 2004.
Founded in 2020 with a vision of reshaping healthcare across Pakistan by providing easy access to quality healthcare, the online platform MEDZnMORE has served thousands of customers across Pakistan. As part of their efforts to seamlessly fulfil operational needs, they have invested heavily in the construction of purpose-built temperature-controlled warehouses across Pakistan.
MEDZnMORE, earlier this year raised $11.5 Million in its pre-series A round, making it Pakistan's largest healthtech investment. As well as partnering with leading manufacturers, tabiyat.pk offers the audience better access to healthcare products through various projects in the pipeline.
