Body of youth found lying in pool of blood in mosque
The body of a youth, lying in a pool of blood was found in the premises of a mosque in Shadman Town on Saturday. According to details, Asif Imtiaz, 22, was found dead lying in a pool of blood on the lawn of the mosque in the Shadman Town area.
A pistol and a mobile phone were also recovered near the victim's body, which were sent to a forensic lab. Shadman Town police said the precise circumstances will be revealed following the postmortem report.
The police said Asif Imtiaz lived in Surjani Town and worked in a factory. The family of the deceased informed that Asif left the house on Friday evening to go for shopping with a friend.
The family told police that there was no communication between the victim and the family after he left the house. Asif's phone records revealed that the last call he made was to his father. The mosque administration said, they did not hear any gunshot. However, a family living in the area near mosque told police they heard gunshots around 3am in the morning.
The police were investigating the case further. Robbery A youth was killed and his brother was injured when offered resistance to robbers in Gulshan-e-Maymar on Saturday. According to details, two brothers, riding a motorcycle, were chased by six suspects on two separate two-wheelers in Gulshan-eMaymar.
The suspects stopped them and tried to snatch their motorcycle, on which they offered resistance. The two victims took out their licensed pistols and fired at the robbers. Consequently, the robbers fired back in retaliation which left one of the victims injured while the other was dead.
The six suspects managed to escape from the scene. The deceased was identified as 25-year-old Mehran Hanif and the injured as Yasin Hanif
