Aima Baig, Asim Azhar among others enthral audience at concert for flood affectees
A grand musical concert was organised by the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi to help flood victims at the Karachi Gymkhana, stated a press release. Singers Asim Azhar, Young Stunners, Aima Baig, Natasha Baig, Ramees, and Jambrooz Band had the participants grooving to their performance. The concert saw a large number of people attending the initiative.
Arts Council Karachi President Muhammad Ahmad Shah and various personalities from different walks of life also enjoyed the night with some energetic performances.
Speaking to the media on this occasion, the Jo Tu Na Mila crooner said that the Arts Council Karachi has taken a wonderful step to help the flood victims, in which the artist community is fully supporting them.
Azhar added, "Everyone has to work together. It should be noted that all the income collected from the concert will be collected in the flood relief fund established by the Arts Council Karachi to help the flood victims."
The Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi previously announced a unique art exhibition on September 30, in which renowned sculptors and painters across Pakistan donated their creations.
The exhibition also includes works by Sadiqin. Arts Council President Muhammad Ahmed Shah announced this in a press conference at Haseena Moin Hall. On the occasion, Shah said that there is a terrible situation of floods in Pakistan. Even when there was an earthquake in Sindh in 2005, the Arts Council played its role.
He said that this flood is more terrible than in the past. Arts Council Karachi immediately donated Rs20 million to the flood relief fund while trucks filled with rations bags are being sent to different areas of Sindh. For the rehabilitation of the victims in the future, the Arts Council will also work is holding an art exhibition to help the flood affectees.
