DNA test ordered in Tharparkar girl’s gang rape, suicide

The family members of the deceased also appeared before the chief justice and informed the court about the incident

KARACHI:

The Sindh High Court has ordered to conduct DNA in the case of kidnapping, gang rape and suicide of a girl in Mithi, Thar Parkar.

DIG Mirpur Khas Zulfikar Mehr and SSP Tharparkar Hasan Sardar and others appeared in the court during the hearing.

The family members of the deceased also appeared before the Chief Justice Ahmad Ali Shaikh and informed the court about the incident.

DIG Mirpurkhas submitted a report in which it was stated that four accused have been arrested in the case. Further investigation of the case is under way.

The Chief Justice remarked that the plaintiff and the family members of the deceasd girl should be extended full cooperation and support during the investigation. The case should be further investigated and a progress report be submitted within two weeks. After the hearing, DIG Mirpur Khas said in an informal conversation with the media that the Chief Justice has ordered investigation in the light of all the evidence and DNA.

In response to a question, the DIG said that the plaintiff and the witness have made the matter clear before the Chief Justice stating that they did not report it and when they reported it to the police, they took action. Plaintiff and witness are satisfied with the police investigation.
