Deputy Commissioner Capt (retd) Nadeem Nasir stressed the need for concerted efforts to eliminate dengue larva with the cooperation of all departments.
He was addressing a meeting on Thursday to review anti-dengue measures taken by different departments.
Meanwhile, on the same day, a bakery owner was booked over the presence of larvae at his business.
The DC said that due to changing weather, dengue larva surveillance should be conducted effectively and directed officers to expedite steps to kill dengue larvae.
A health department spokesman said the anti-dengue teams inspected various locations in the city and found dengue larvae in a bakery at University road. The health team registered a case against the owner, Mobeen, at the relevant police station.
