MQM-P discusses city’s issues with CM

KARACHI:

A delegation of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P), led by Khawaja Izharul Hasan, met the Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Murad Ali Shah and discussed a number of problems the city is facing.

According to sources, Karachi Administrator Murtaza Wahab and Sindh Minister Saeed Ghani were also present in the meeting.

The MQM-P delegation demanded that the budget of the City of Quaid be increased. The chief minister said that currently, there is a flood situation in Sindh, and the funds will be increased.

The MQM delegation said that they have no problems with Karachi administrator but attention should also be paid to other matters. "We want the redressal of citizens' grievances, improvement in peace and order, and curbing the rising incidents of robberies and street crimes through timely and stricter action by the police,"  they demanded.

The chief minister assured the MQM delegation that all problems would be solved soon. Protection of people's life and property is among the government's priorities, and that development funds will also be released. MQM and PPP are allies in the federation, and we have to solve the problems together, he added.
