Shoes led to arrest of suspects who staged ‘bank robbery drama’

In a surprising development, the shoes of a suspect led to the arrest of a man and his nephew who allegedly staged a bank robbery drama in Naulakha area of Lahore.

Reportedly, suspect Kamran working as a rider of a private company had lodged a complaint with the police that he withdrew cash from a bank worth Rs1.5 million and that that two unidentified suspects snatched it from him while he was returning from the bank.

Subsequently, police took him to police station for investigation, registration of complaint and other purposes. Police also collected CCTV footages of the fleeing suspected robbers, who had hidden their faces.

In the meantime, a man came to see the complainant at the police station. When police noticed his shoes, found the pair identical with the one of the fleeing suspects on the motorbike.

When grilled, Kamran confessed before police that he had staged the bank robbery with his nephew Adnan Khalid.
