The Drugs Control Authority has approved action against eight medical stores allegedly involved in sale and purchase of prohibited, expired drugs.
Drug inspection teams have been formed across the district in this regard.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner (Finance and Planning), Akhlaq Ahmed, said this while presiding over a meeting of the Drug Control Authority at the Deputy Commissioner’s office.
Akhlaq Ahmad said that the stores and warehouses containing narcotic injections and prohibited drugs would also be sealed.
He said that the stocks of medicine companies and wholesale dealers would also be checked.
