'Forever with you' says Anushka as Virat makes his 71st century

Star couple received immense flak during Kohli's century hiatus, which he finally ended on Thursday

Renowned actor Anushka Sharma has reacted to her husband and ace cricketer Virat Kohli’s much-awaited century on Thursday.

Kohli hit his first international century since November 2019 with a maiden T20 ton for India to lead the team’s 101-run thrashing of Afghanistan in the Asia Cup. The batsman remained undefeated, making 122 runs off of 61 balls, with 12 fours and six sixes in Dubai after India were put into bat first in their last Super Four contest after being eliminated from the tournament.

Sharing some of the pictures from the "historic" moment on her Instagram handle, Sharma wrote in the caption, “Forever with you through any and everything.”

The star cricketer, on the other hand, dedicated his 71st international century to Sharma and their daughter, Vamika. “You see me standing here because one person has put things into perspective for me. That’s Anushka,” he said, speaking after ending his century hiatus.

The actor and cricketer tied the knot in 2017 in an intimate wedding ceremony in Italy after dating for many years. They welcomed their daughter Vamika in January last year.

Kohli’s previous best in 103 T20Is was 94 not out since his debut in 2010. He has also hit 27 Test and 43 ODI centuries in a stellar career.

Sharma, on the other hand, was last seen in the 2018 film Zero, co-starring Shah Rukh Khan. She has starred in films like Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, PK, Band Baaja Baaraat, Sultan and Ae Dil Hai Mushki, to name a few. The star will next be seen in Chakda Xpress, her first project since giving birth to Vamika. The film is based on the life of Jhulan Goswami.
