SC denies fee relief to self-financed medical students
The Supreme Court rejected on Tuesday the appeals of the medical students under the self-finance scheme, for the payment of normal fees, saying that those students got admission to the medical colleges just because of the self-financing.
The appeals were heard by a three-member bench, headed by Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial. Disposing of the appeals, the chief justice said that those admissions were allowed because of their money, otherwise, they were nowhere near the merit list.
Sitting on the bench, Justice Qazi Faiz Isa said that there was a principle for applying in the court.
