JIT formed to investigate rape of minor girl
JIT started a formal investigation and raids were conducted to arrest the accused
MULTAN:
City Police Officer (CPO) formed a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) after Additional Inspector General South Punjab Dr Ehsan Sadiq took notice of the rape of a 15-year-old girl in Gulgasht.
The JIT, headed by SP Cantt Hassan Raza, was also comprised of SP Rab Nawaz Tulla and SP Gulgasht Qazi Ali Raza. DSP Gulgasht, SHO Gulgasht, in-charge JTT Multan and other officers were also part of the team.
JIT started a formal investigation and raids were conducted to arrest the accused involved in the incident.
Police raided Sheikh Hameed farmhouse and arrested suspects Safdar and Yasir, with Gulgasht police registering a case against both men.
