When the purported message became another viral internet post, NUML refuted the statement as fake

News Desk September 02, 2022

Social media users had a field day as a strange message purportedly issued by the National University of Modern Languages (NUML) circulated on the internet. The message, directed at female students read, “It is to inform all female students that no one is allowed to call male students brother. Just call them by their real name as everyone has their own specific name. The step has been made to prevent boys feeling hurt”.

When the purported message became another viral internet post, NUML on their social media account revealed that the statement was fake.

After it was ascertained that the viral post was false, some social media users began to question how it emerged in the first place. Social media user Takseen Baloch stated that some students may have curated the post.

Quashed hopes of not being referred to as brother any more, social media user with the pseudonym 'north lad' tweeted in Urdu, “I became happy for no reason it seems”.

Laughing at the absurd post, Twitter user Adil penned that it was obvious that the statement was fake.

Before the confirmation, the post had left netizens both perplexed and amused. The post garnered many laughs and was widely appreciated by male social emdia users.

A Twitter user named Zulfiqar tweeted in roman Urdu, "Okay boys go to NUML university, you won't get hurt".

Male students, clearly tired of being called 'brother' by their female peers applauded the false post.

Another user applauded the university for 'preserving the dignity of males for the first time'.
