An anti-terrorism court (ATC) extended the judicial remand of three accused in the Johar Town bombing case until September 2. The decision was made on Tuesday.
The Counter- Terrorism Department (CTD) did not produce the accused, Samiul Haq, Aziz Akbar and Naveed Akhtar, during the proceedings, but submitted their warrant papers. The ATC directed the CTD to file challans against the accused as soon as possible, whilst extending judicial remand.
A duty judge conducted the case proceedings.
The ATC previously awarded the death sentence to four accused in the matter, additionally awarding five years imprisonment to a female accused.
