CTD accuses suspect of facilitating attack targeting police mobile on May 16

KARACHI:

The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) of police on Friday arrested a policeman over involvement in the Kharadar bomb blast.

CTD believes that the suspect played a role in the May 16 explosion that killed a woman and injured 12 other including policemen. The main target of the bomb was the Kharadar police mobile.

As per the CTD investigators, the suspect, Dilbar Ali, employed with Rapid Response Force (RRF), is a member of the separatist organisation Sindh Revolutionary Army (SRA).

Dilbar Ali has been involved in money laundering and other affairs of SRA too.According to CTD sources, an investigation has been started against the accused. It is worth mentioning that the Rapid Response Force (RRF) is a very important unit of the Sindh Police.

RRF personnel are deployed in the Sindh Police Head Office, the Karachi Police Head Office, and other important locations, in addition to embassies and foreigner security.
