Sharjeel gets tent city set up at Tando Jam
Provincial Information Minister and the Focal Person for Rain Emergency in Hyderabad Sharjeel Inam Memon has set up a Tent City in the Sindh Agriculture University, Tando Jam, to provide shelter to the affected people.
Hyderabad district, especially the rural areas, has been severely affected by the unprecedented rains and floods as a large number of people have been displaced.
Thousands of flood victims have been shifted to the relief camps, while a Tent City is being set up in the Sindh Agricultural University, where accommodation as well as food would be provided to the affected population.
Work is in full swing and the Tent City would be ready to house the affectees within a couple of days. The minister said that the flood victims would be shifted to the camp along with their cattle and belongings where they would also be given ration and cooked food.
Meanwhile, Administrator Karachi and Sindh government spokesperson Barrister Murtaza Wahab on Sunday visited a shelter camp set up in Korangi, Karachi for the people displaced by the floods.
