KARACHI:

The daughter of the Sindh Assembly Opposition Leader Haleem Adil Sheikh, Ayesha Sheikh said on Sunday that if her father was out of jail he would have exposed the corruption of the Sindh government in the collection and distribution of flood relief.

Addressing a press conference at the Karachi Press Club (KPC) she came out all guns blazing accusing the provincial government of implicating her father in 36 false cases whereas at this time of crisis, the sisters and mothers of Sindh, "are crying where is Haleem who is our voice against the oppressors."

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Lawyers Wing leaders Advocate Abdul Wahab Baloch, Advocate Malik Altaf, and Advocate Mumtaz Gopang were also present in the press conference. Ayesha said that there is not a single department in Sindh that was not used in fake cases against Haleem Adil. She said this is why her father would use to expose corruption in every department of the Sindh government.

She said today Sindh is inundated because the irrigation department is filthy corrupt.

She said the government started a vendetta against Haleem Adil when he staged a protest rally for the peasants in Sindh on January 4, 2018. He was arrested and tortured. She said he was booked in anti-terrorism case when he visited Ghotki in connection of the election
