GB cabinet donates month’s salary for flood relief
The cabinet of Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) has announced to donate a month’s salary to relief efforts as heavy rains and floods wreak havoc across the country.
The government will also donate five days’ salary to the chief secretary, three days’ salary to officers of BPS-19 and BPS-20, and one day’s salary of officers of BPS-16 and BPS-18 to the flood relief efforts.
Pakistan is currently reeling through heavy rains and floods, which have so far killed more than 900 people and injured scores. The floods have also damaged infrastructure in parts of the country while displacing many families.
