Road crashes claim seven lives
At least seven people were killed and 948 were injured in 886 Road Traffic Crashes (RTCs) across Punjab during the last 24 hours.
Of the injured, 556 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 379 victims with minor injuries were treated at the incident site.
The majority of RTCs involved motorcycles. Further analysis showed that 461 drivers, 24 underage drivers, 87 pedestrians, and 400 passengers were among the victims of RTCs.
The statistics show that 262 RTCs were reported in Lahore with 264 victims, placing the Provincial Capital at top of the list.
Faisalabad followed behind with 75 RTCs and 80 victims and Multan at third with 63 RTCs and 63 victims.
The details further reveal that 948 victims were affected by RTCs, including 796 males and 152 females, while the age group of the victims shows that 180 were under 18 years of age, 500 were between 18 and 40 years old and the remaining 268 victims were reportedly above 40 years of age.
