I never watched 'Suno Chanda', says Nadia Afgan

The actor, who garnered praises for her portrayal of Shahana in the rom-com, took to Instagram to thank her fans

Iqra Aziz and Farhan Saeed's Ramazan rom-com, Suno Chanda, could arguably be touted as one of the most popular drama serials of recent times. But apart from the reel-life couple's sizzling chemistry, it was Nadia Afgan's well-fleshed-out character, Shahana, that has managed to stay with the audience.

While we might have done several reruns of Suno Chanda (and rightly so), did you know Afgan herself has never watched it? You read that right! Taking to Instagram, the actor shared a small clip from the show and shared, "It may come as a surprise to you all but I never watched Suno Chanda. Just bits and pieces of it. I never watch any of my dramas."

She went on to add, "Whenever a director asks me after a scene if I want to look at what I have done. I always say no. I always try to give it my all but I can never ever see it. I watched this clip today and I laughed. And for the first time, I actually thought Shahana was not bad. I think I pulled it off pretty okay."

Afgan, while being grateful for the love, added, "I just want to thank you all, each and every one of you for giving me so much love and respect. It's been 3 years since Suno Chanda 2 and still every day my DMs are full of your lovely messages. I must have done something good to deserve so much love and appreciation. I'm truly humbled."

After the mammoth success of the hit rom-com, the actor is all set to return to the small screen with yet another drama, Kala Doriya. The drama serial stars Afgan alongside Sana Javed and Osman Khalid Butt in the lead roles.

In a previous Q&A session with the fans, Afgan shared details about her upcoming show and how it is similar yet not a complete copy of the Farhan Saeed and Iqra Hussain-starrer.

The actor shared that her character in Kala Doriya is rather similar to that of Shahana. Responding to a query, Afgan shared, "I am doing the same role as Shahana, however, this character is named Tanno." When a fan inquired whether the show will be similar to Suno Chanda, Afgan responded, "There was only one Suno Chanda. No other serial can be like it."
