LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Monday sought a reply from the Punjab government to a petition alleging nepotism and cronyism in the hiring of paramedics and other staff at public hospitals. Petitioner Nadeem Aslam said that posts ranging from peon to paramedic were being filled by people with connections to PML-Nawaz parliamentarians. He asked the court to direct the authorities to look into the matter and cancel all politically motivated appointments. The court directed the respondent to file a reply to the petition by September 8.
