ISLAMABAD:

Turkiye would be happy to increase bilateral trade with Pakistan up to $5 billion as both countries have good potential to enhance two-way trade volume in many items. It was stated by Nurettin Demir, Commercial Counsellor Embassy of Turkiye, while addressing the business community during his visit to the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He said Musiad Expo would be held in Istanbul from November 2-5, 2022 where Pakistan’s business community should actively participate to promote business linkages with their counterparts in Turkiye and explore new avenues of promoting bilateral trade. He pointed out that Turkiye and Pakistan could enhance bilateral cooperation in many fields including machinery and parts, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, tourism and agriculture. He offered to help Pakistani business community in customs affairs for doing trade with Turkiye and was hopeful that a free trade agreement would be finalised between Turkiye and Pakistan soon after its ratification by Turkiye parliament, which would help in increasing the volume of trade.
