Robbery, burglary cases

The number of robberies have increased in the city of Pind Dadan Khan. After the theft of motorcycles, the robbers have now set up a picket near Golpur village on Lilla Road and have started to rob passing vehicles.

As a result, fear and panic has spread among the residents who have demanded DPO Jehlum to immediately take notice of the issue.

In an incident, robbers snatched Rs100,000 in cash, and a mobile phone worth Rs65,000 from a businessman at 5am near Golpur village, a suburb of Pind Dadan Khan. Robbers also tortured his driver and snatched Rs5000 from him and managed to escape.

According to locals, motorists are also subjected to torture by these robbers. They forcefully stop vehicles, take away cash and valuables and escape. Public and social circles have demanded DPO Jehlum and other senior officials to show mercy on those who are already facing rising inflation and additional taxes. Immediate measures are a dire need to stop these incidents from occurring.

Meanwhile, drinking water in Pind Dadan Khan City has become bitter due to an issue with the underground water motor.

After receiving several complaints, Assistant Commissioner, Pind Dadan Khan, Malik Noor Zaman reached the water supply project on the Jhelum River’s banks to check up on the water delivery systems. After reviewing the situation, he gave the orders to modify the scheme within two days. He said that "The citizen would soon have clean drinking water”.

This issue of bitter water in several localities of Pind Dadan Khan was brought to light by Advocate Khursheed, Khawaja Hamza, Advocate Malik Sajid, Advocate Chaudhry Ashraf, and Chaudhry Sadaf Arain.
