Additional IG reviews by-elections security
Additional IG Karachi Javed Alam Odho chaired an important meeting regarding security arrangements during by-elections.
According to a police official, the meeting held a detailed review of all the security arrangements during the by-election on NA-245 Karachi and local body elections in Karachi. The officials concerned gave a detailed briefing on the occasion and discussed the security plan for the by-election on NA-245 in Karachi.
The meeting decided to increase patrolling and ensure additional deployment of police personnel at specific points following the security plan. It was also decided in the meeting that Anti Riots Force, RRF, and other units should also be kept alert to deal with any untoward incident on the occasion.
