Man gunned down over land dispute

A man was killed while four others suffered injuries over a land dispute on Sarwar Shaheed Singhori Road within the limits of Mandira police station.

The police said that the dispute occurred over two kanals of land. Muhammad Abid, one of the complainants told the police that after he received information that Abdullah Awan and others have occupied his land, he with his brother went to the spot to stop the construction work.

He said that Abdullah and the others opened fire and as a result his brother sustained injuries and later succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.
