Two die of Covid, 459 test positive

Experts say both provincial and federal health authorities need to adopt greater urgency in their plans

ISLAMABAD:

As many as 459 persons contracted Covid-19 while two deaths were reported during the last 24 hours, the National Institute of Health (NIH) said.

It added that 18,045 coronavirus tests were conducted during the last 24 hours in the country of which 459 came back positive. The total number of positive cases had soared to 1,563,347.

The positivity ratio stands at 3.54%. With two deaths over the past 24 hours, the national tally of fatalities had surged to 30,529, the NIH said.

Experts say both the provincial and federal health authorities need to adopt greater urgency in their plans to limit the spread of the disease.
