Another monsoon system approaches Sindh, more rainfall predicted
The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast light to moderate rainfall in Karachi on Monday and said that another monsoon system will bring rain to Sindh, including the port city, from tomorrow onwards.
According to Chief meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz, a low-pressure system is still present south of Sindh's coastline in the Arabian Sea which may lead to rain in the coastal areas.

The new monsoon system, entering Sindh from Indian Gujarat on Tuesday, can cause heavy rainfall and thunderstorms in Sindh.
‘Heavy rains may generate urban flooding in Karachi’
In its earlier advisory, the PMD said that a depression had developed in the Arabian Sea which is likely to move west along the Makran coast.
“Due to this weather system, monsoon currents are continuously penetrating in southern parts of the country,” read the statement by PMD.
Another low pressure (LPA) is likely to approach Sindh on August 16, it added.

Likewise, the Met office said widespread rain-wind/thundershowers (with scattered heavy to very heavy falls) are expected in Sindh and Balochistan in the aforementioned period with occasional gaps.
Heavy rains may also generate urban flooding in Karachi, Thatta, Badin, Hyderabad, Dadu, Jamshoro, Sukkur, Larkana, Shaheed Benazirabad and Mirpurkhas from August 14 to 18.
