Seminary teacher held for ‘raping’ student
A seminary teacher was arrested and remanded on Friday on charges of raping a 15-year-old boy who studied at his seminary, police said.
A local magistrate in Haripur has sent the accused on a two-day police remand after he appeared before the court.
According to police, 15-year-old TA*, a student of a local seminary in Kholian Bala within the Sara-e-Saleh police station limits, was allegedly sexually abused by the teacher, identified as Aziz Miskeen, a resident of Abbottabad.
According to the police, the accused had fled after the victim’s family members lodged a complaint with the police a few days ago. According to the police, the child's mother and grandmother had filed a report at the police station. The victim has been studying at the seminary for the last two years.
According to the police, the child had also allegedly been tortured and the teacher had threatened him with dire consequences if he shared anything with anyone. According to the police, the student had stopped going to the seminary out of fear.
After registering the complaint, the police carried out a raid at a hideout, arrested the accused and presented him before the court. The court sent the accused on a two-day physical remand.
On Wednesday, three men allegedly raped a 12-year-old boy, beat him up and dumped him in the fields near Afghan Refugee Camp No-14 of Kot Najibullah, Panian in Haripur.
Police said that after a few hours, the boy gained consciousness, reached home and informed his parents about his ordeal. His parents reached the police station and registered a case against the suspects.
Kot Najibullah police arrested the three suspects and recovered motorcycles and a pistol used in the crime. The three accused were identified as Wasil, Samiullah and Munawaar alias Manu. The police registered a case under section 377/364A/53CPA against them.
