Two men allegedly commit suicide
Two persons allegedly committed suicide.
Police said that Waheed Ahmed, a resident of 117 RB in Sangla Hill, had been staying temporarily in Muhammad Pura.
On the day of the incident, he went to his friend’s house in Madanpura where he allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself in the head with a 30-bore pistol, police said.
They said that the motive behind the “suicide” could not be known.
Ghulam Mohammadabad police arrived at the site of the incident, took possession of the body of the deceased and later handed it over to his heirs after necessary legal proceedings.
In another case, an unidentified person, who appeared to be in his fifties, allegedly committed suicide by walking onto the railway track near the Jindanwala Railway Gate and letting an oncoming train run over him.
The police arrived at the spot, took the body of the deceased into custody and shifted it to the hospital.The body still remains unidentified while the police are searching for his relatives.
In March this year, a young man allegedly committed suicide in Dijkot by shooting himself in the head when his family forbade him from playing PUBG.
Twenty-year-old Abdullah, a resident of a Landianwala suburban village, used to play PUBG all through the night.
His family forbade him from playing the game which upset him so much so that he allegedly shot himself in the head.
Upon receiving information about the young man’s suicide, Landianwala police reached the spot, took possession of the body and sent it for the postmortem.
They registered a report of accidental death.
In similar incidents two years ago, several youths had allegedly committed suicide in the provincial capital reportedly due to the online game, the Players Unidentified Battleground (PUBG).
