Three die of Covid in last 24 hours

Highest coronavirus positivity rate of 33.33 per cent was recorded in Nowshera

ISLAMABAD:

At least three people died of Covid while 628 new infections were reported across the country in the last 24 hours, the National Command and Operation (NCOC) said on Monday.

According to the latest statistics released by the NCOC, the highest coronavirus positivity rate of 33.33 per cent was recorded in Nowshera.

Swabi registered a positivity rate of 30 per cent; Muzaffarabad 10.64 per cent; Peshawar 10.43 per cent and Mardan 9.27 per cent.

Islamabad witnessed a positivity rate of 9.07 per cent; Sargodha 7.89 per cent; Lahore 7.83 per cent; Faisalabad 4.68; Karachi 1.48 and Rawalpindi 1.42 per cent.

Two deaths were reported in Sindh and one in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

As the risk of another Covid outbreak looms, the NCOC has directed the citizens to ensure safety by following the SOPs including wearing of the masks, maintaining social distance and using sanitisers.
