‘PTI has emerged as K-P’s biggest party’

PTI powerful in 22 out of 35 districts; officials in direct contact with the people

PESHAWAR:

With over 150,000 officials and a consolidated structure, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has emerged as the largest political party in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P), said PTI’s provincial secretary information and MPA Zahir Shah Toru on Friday.

He was addressing a press conference at Peshawar Press Club along with other local leaders of the party.

Toru said that out of 35 districts, the PTI has managed to set up a strong edifice of organisational powers in 22 districts and added that the party had a structure that was well expanded to the grassroots across the province.

“PTI stands out as the only political party whose 150,000 officials are in direct contact with the people,” he said.

He explained that on the instructions of party chief Imran Khan, provincial president of PTI Pervez Khattak had been supervising for the last three months the process of re-organising and reactivating the party so that active contact could be established with workers and voters at the grassroots.

“The efforts have yielded results today with thousands of officials in the district-level organisations who will now play a key role in disseminating Imran Khan’s vision to the people,” the MPA noted.
